MY VIEWS ON HERITAGE


 I’ve always been interested in looking at photos of old belongings of my grandparents, learning about what my ancestors did in the past, genealogy, and taking photos to preserve memories. Heritage means a lot to me and always has. So, I decided to reflect upon what heritage really means to me and why I am so drawn to it.Essentially, heritage is those who came before me and helped shape who I am. Some of those who came before me I never knew, but a part of them were passed down through others who knew them. I hope to pass onto future generations the things that I have learned in order that my ancestors may live on through memories of generations gone.

EFFORTS MADE BY THE MIRAAS CLUB TO PRESERVE OUR HERITAGE AND CULTURE


Culture has the power to transform entire societies,strengthen local communities and forge a sense of identity and belonging for people of all ages. As a vector for youth development and civic engagement. It plays an important role in our lives.

The miraas club helps create awareness among the students about the culture and heritage of our society. this is done by organizing many events and ensuring that the students are benefited by these.

How would you feel, if you found out that your name is actually a name for a guy? I was bored, and procrastinating when I decided to 'Google' my name. I found out some new things. So, the classical name Kavya means a sonnet or poem in Sanskrit which is the meaning I've been telling people my whole life. Apparently, Kavya also means intelligence, wise, happiness and it is a Sanskrit literary composition. Kavya (or Kāvya; Sanskrit: काव्य, IAST: kāvyá) also refers to the Sanskrit literary style used by Indian court poets flourishing from the first half of the seventh century AD. This literary style is characterised by abundant usage of figures of speech, metaphors, similes, and hyperbole to create its emotional effects. Miiraas - The Heritage Club

Miiraas Club or The Heritage Club is a club for heritage and history enthusiasts of Sanskriti School who wish to promote and protect the rich culture and traditions of our country.  The club organizes fun events like Kabaddi matches, Drama events such as the Ramayana spoof and various poster making competitions on topics related to heritage. Every year the Miiraas club collaborates with Itihaas organization to arrange a Heritage Walk to places of historical relevance with students of Miiraas club and Photography club. The Miiraas club has a monthly newsletter, for which interested students can send their articles, poetry, photographs or artwork.
